I happen to donwload from The Pirate Bay a Filipino movie titled "Silip". This movie has sex connotation and I wonder how do Filipina actresses do bold movies during those years.

The movie has a great audio and video quality since it is a DVD rip version. To my surprise, the act was so real it seems I was watching a rated x movie. I never thought they did it that way!

I even asked myself, were there no regulating bodies during those times? Today, if too much skin has been shown in the movie, it will be immediately rated as x by the MTRCB. Are we more conservative today than the 80's?

The movie itself was beautiful but there were a lot of sexy scenes that really made me amused they had those movies during that time.

2012

2012 is an upcoming American disaster science fiction film directed by Roland Emmerich. The film has an ensemble cast, including John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. The film will be distributed by Columbia Pictures. Filming began in August 2008 in Vancouver, and is expected to be released worldwide on November 13, 2009.

Premise

The world is devastated by a cataclysm in the year 2012, leaving survivors to struggle for their lives. The film is inspired by several hypotheses that state the ancient Mayans predicted a doomsday event will occur sometime around the 2012 solstice. The original basis for this comes from the end of the current cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, on December 21, 2012.

Production

Director Roland Emmerich and composer-producer Harald Kloser co-wrote a spec script titled 2012, which was marketed to major studios in February 2008. Nearly all studios met with Emmerich and his representatives to hear the director's budget projection and story plans, a process that the director had previously gone through with the films Independence Day (1996) and The Day After Tomorrow (2004).

The film was shopped around with a production budget of $200 million. Later in the month of February, Sony Pictures Entertainment won the rights for the spec script and will distribute it under Columbia Pictures. The studio plans to make the film for less than the estimated budget.

Filming was originally scheduled to begin in Los Angeles, California, in July 2008, but instead commenced in Vancouver in August 2008. Due to the possible 2008 Screen Actors Guild strike, filmmakers set up a contingency plan for salvaging the film. Sony Pictures Imageworks was hired to create visual effects for 2012.

Star Trek: The Future Begins

Star Trek is a 2009 science fiction film directed by J. J. Abrams, written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It is the eleventh film based on the Star Trek franchise and features the main characters of the original Star Trek television series, who are portrayed by a new cast.

The film follows James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) before they unite aboard the USS Enterprise to combat Nero (Eric Bana), a Romulan from the future who threatens the United Federation of Planets. The time-travel story establishes an alternate reality, freeing the film and the franchise from continuity constraints.
Development of the film began in 2005.

The production's aim was to be faithful to the Star Trek canon, modifying continuity with the time-travel storyline, and modernizing the production design of the original show. Filming took place from November 2007 to March 2008 under intense secrecy. Midway through the shoot, Paramount chose to delay the release date from December 25, 2008 to May 2009, believing the film could reach a wider audience.

Star Trek earned high critical praise earning a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is currently the highest grossing film of 2009 in the United States box office.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is an upcoming film and the second live-action film based on the Street Fighter series of video games. It follows the quest of Street Fighter character Chun-Li, who is portrayed by Smallville star Kristin Kreuk. The story follows Chun-Li's personal history and her journey for justice. The film co-stars Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Chris Klein as Charlie, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, and Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo as Vega. Rick Yune was originally cast as Gen but has been replaced by Robin Shou, who portrayed Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat films. The film is scheduled for release in February 27, 2009.

The International
